Latest Addition to the Monogram Collection

Hello everyone! So lately many people at my school have been carrying water bottles around with them, which is much more environmentally friendly than plastic water bottles. For Christmas I had been looking online for the cute monogrammed Turvis Tumbler water bottles I had seen plastered all over Pinterest for my sister. I couldn't seem to find any with the monogram on the inside of the bottle, it seemed as though they were all hand painted monograms on the outside. Now don't get me wrong, it's super creative, just not very durable for an everyday sort of water bottle. So of course, being the crafty gal I am, I started another monogram project. I first went to Bed Bath and Beyond and purchased the water bottle, it wasn't more than $20 and is real durable! Then I headed over to my favorite website Etsy and found http://www.etsy.com/shop/MissHeatherAnne a cute little shop selling monogram stickers in tons of sizes, colors, and fonts that are made out of indoor/outdoor vinyl, used for bumper stickers (in that case, dishwasher thumbs up!) The monogram was super easy to apply to the water bottle and hasn't peeled at all. So before you spend up to $30 on a hand painted, monogrammed Turvis Tumbler water bottle that could easily chip off, turn your creative juices on, head over to Etsy, and you could save a ton!

These are a few pictures of me and my sisters water bottles.

Favorite Book

I'm a total book worm. I would rather spend all day at the beach reading a great book then go to the movies. I have read TONS of books over the years and not one book has made such an impact on my life like the book Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. This book has been around for about 20 years and has sold over one million copies, which doesn't surprise me at all. This book is such a moving book and shows how enduring and powerful God's love for one couple is. This book brought me to tears... take that back, by the end of the book I was sobbing! After finishing this powerful book I became emotionally attached to it, with all of its tear stained pages and markings. As you can tell in the second picture below, the books resting place is right next to my bed even though I have finished it. I encourage you all to read this book at sometime in your life, you will never feel more-true-to-self and loved after finishing this amazing book. If you have read this book, I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on Redeeming Love. Have a great rest of your day!

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers can be found at your local bookstore.

April Showers Bring More Monograms

Many people are beginning to open up their own small monogram shops, whether it be online, or in little shops near you. It seems as thought the monogram business is booming thanks to sites like Pinterest. Marley and Lily and The Pink Monogram are probably some of the more well known monogram shops in the South or at least to me. As the new year starts, so does the wonderful spring season, which of course brings us some "April showers". A while back I was really looking to purchase some monogrammed rain boots, but all the ones I had found were in the price range of $60-100. Which was way out of my price range for a pair of boots that were going to get all wet. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. I went to my local outdoors store and purchased a pair of cute $14 rain boots. (I got mine from Academy, but you could also find a cheap pair from Target or Walmart). I chose a pair of simple black rain boots, because any color monogram goes with black, and I hadn't quiet decided what color I wanted the monogram to be. Then I took the rain boots to a monogram shop in a little shopping center near my house and asked if they thought they would be able to monogram the rain boots for me. They said there was no guarantee the boots would turn out perfect since rubber is kind of hard to work with, but they said that they would try their hardest to make it work! I took the risk of them not working out being that they were only a $14 pair of rain boots. In the end I ended up with a pair of amazingly monogrammed rain boots that only cost me $12 per boot monogram having the total add up to around $40, saving me a TON of money instead of paying almost $100 for a pair online! I wear them all the time and seem to always get compliments on them every time I wear them out. Hopefully this little trick can help you save some extra cash for your next monogrammed item!

Here are a few pictures of my boots

Lastest Etsy Find

Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a wonderful day today. I just love online shopping, the anticipation of waiting for the package to arrive adds to the excitement of the product. Etsy by far is my favorite place to order everything from, whether it be monogrammed items or other unique pieces. My latest find on Etsy is the cutest, and afordable watch. I had been yearning for a Micheal Kors watch but decided this watch suited me more at this time. The watch is from a cute shop named Eco Design Project and is based out of Los Angeles, California. I think what made me fall in love with this watch so much is the seed bead pattern on the leather watch band, resembling the bracelets I hand make and sell (see more about my jewelry under the page/tab Bead Junkie). Hopefully you all are able take a little time out of your hectic day to go check out this adorable shop! I would love to hear some feed back on what you think of these unique timepieces!

The watch on the left is the watch I ordered and am waiting to come in and the one on the right is another adorable one I was debating on purchasing!

Check it out!

Nifty Nails

Hello everyone! Happy second day of 2013! Hope all of y'all haven't already skipped out on your new years resolutions, I'm trying to stick to mine! So for Christmas many of my friends and I exchanged presents and I received many nail polishes, since I am obsessed with doing my nails for the appropriate season! Kind of quirky, but oh well! My collection of nail polishes have been growing much to rapidly lately to really keep them nearby without getting knocked over, lost, or misplaced somewhere. I had seen this idea before many times so I thought I would give it a try since my family uses up candles so quickly. You can turn old candle containers, that once held the actual candle, into a cute and unique way to store your nail polish! All you need to do, is if the candle is already burned up, you can easily scrape out the left-over wax with a sharp tool. Then you can either hand wash the container or put it in the dishwasher, either one wont harm the container. Here are a few examples below of this cute storage idea.

The nail polish bottles fit perfectly inside no matter what brand, and are easily displayed, and convenient to get to! Hopefully this neat and inexpensive way to organize your colorful polishes inspires you to burn up those old, dusty candles and get to organizing!
